Tales of Pannithor: Cost of Power
Author: Tom Fern.
The Euhdral Library is a beacon of innovation, learning and cooperation between the fractious nations of Pannithor but the city’s security and prosperity is maintained not just through treaties and diplomacy but also the secret labours of the many agents it dispatches to safeguard its future. A scene of bloody carnage on a quiet forest road sets one group of agents, Prosecutor Iyan Everetson and his Protectorate council on a hunt for a dangerous foe whose path of destruction seems to be leading them inexorably across the Successor Kingdoms towards home.
Meanwhile, a Half-elf by the name of Torhile Windrite seeks only to survive until tomorrow, taking what work she can find to achieve that end. Whilst plundering a forgotten corner of the Dragonteeth Mountains, Torhile inadvertently releases an ancient power both great and terrible. As she seeks to undo the damage she has wrought, Torhile must decide what price she is willing to pay to rectify her mistake…
